Polyethylene tanks will expand when filled. Allowances for this expansion is required when all plumbing work is carried out. Your Superior Polyethylene tank requires very little maintenance, simply check the site for any erosion and clean leaves and debris from the roof, inlet and overflow screens at regular intervals.

1.Ensure that when selecting a site for your tank that the ground is leve and is free of soft spots. ensure that there are no foreign objects such as rocks, stones, tree roots or any sharp materials. Do Not locate near a retaining wall or embackment without first consultng a professional engineer to ensure the ground is capable of supporting the weight of the full tank and base.

2. Spread and level about 35mm of crusher dust over the level ground and place tank directly upon this material .
Make sure the base material is greater tan the tanks diameter.

3.Ensure the material under the tank cannot be washed away. This can be acheived by retaining it with some form of retaining structure, such as, cement strips, rocks or sleepers.

4. If placing the tack on a stand ensure the stand is designed to carry the weight of a full tank and tthat the support slats are no further than 50 mm apart.

5.Plumb all piping away from the base and ensure the piping is supported. Do not forget to use a flexible hose ot coupling to ensure no strain on the fittings or tank.

6.Ensure all overflows are fitted correctly and plumbed away from the tank site to prevent erosion and undercutting of the base.
